This week we kicked off our study of India by having a feast. It was so yummy and the girls got excited; so excited that they even cooked it! I love cooking food that goes with whatever time period or country that we are studying. It just adds so much to it and it gets them to try food that they might not try otherwise. It also gets them into the culture and isn’t that part of learning about other countries and times?
On the Menu
- A couscous medley with raisins and peppers and lots of spice!
- Grilled curried chicken
- Naan bread (This could become my new addiction!)
- Hummus (Actually none of us like hummus made with chickpeas, so Emily made her own recipe using Cannellini beans. It was amazing!)
